Our Story

Every great wine vintage begins long before harvest. Vision, shared passion, and patience come together to create something truly special. Patiné Cellars grew out of countless Sunday tastings and conversations among a small group of wine lovers who were determined to craft award winning, world class wines.

Current owner and co founder Dean Nucich was an admirer of winemaker Mike Smith’s wines long before Patiné Cellars was founded. Dean worked three harvests with Mike, learning firsthand the commitment and discipline required to produce beautifully crafted wines. In 2011, they selected the renowned Gap’s Crown Vineyard for Patiné’s inaugural vintage. To launch the label, Dean partnered with former NHL player and current analyst Jim Fox, who continues to serve as Brand Ambassador and leads select tastings for Patiné Cellars each year.

Since our inception in 2011 our label has been on a journey of evolution and adaptation. We have not only introduced Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon to our offerings but also embraced a new co-owner, Elizabeth Dea. Our commitments are as strong as ever. We aim to provide outstanding and personalized service to our members and continue to source fruit from carefully and sustainably cultivated vineyards, allowing our winemaker to perform their artistry.

Patiné Cellars crafts small lot wines meant to bring people together. We invite you to slow down, celebrate, and create lasting memories with the people who matter most.
