Shipping

You must be 21 years of age or older to order and/or receive alcoholic beverages and shipments containing alcoholic beverages require the signature of an adult. Since the law requires an adult signature upon delivery, we strongly recommend shipping to a business address to ensure compliance with this law.

Wines are not for resale and are for personal consumption only.

After your order is placed, we will attempt to ship your wines as soon as possible. However, to protect your wine, please be aware that your order may be held at our fulfillment company’s temperature controlled storage area until ideal weather allows for optimum shipping conditions.

We typically ship Mondays and Tuesdays to avoid missed deliveries closer to the weekend and shipping may take two to five days, depending on your location. If timing is urgent, we recommend using an expedited delivery service to protect your investment.

An email notification including a tracking number will be sent when your wines are shipped. The tracking number can assist you in tracking your package and making any changes to your delivery.

Wine Service Recommendations: Storing Patine

Heat and sunlight are the biggest concerns when storing wine. For long-term storage, storing wine in a dark, damp environment at 55 degrees Fahrenheit is considered ideal. Portable wine-cooling units are also effective in keeping your wine in optimum condition for aging. Keeping wine in the refrigerator for the short-term (one month) is an option, but potential lack of moisture could dry out the corks and allow air to seep into the bottle. Avoiding rapid and/or extreme temperature changes is as important. Light, especially sunlight, can be a concern for long-term storage, as this could cause the wine to degrade and prematurely age. Extreme dampness can cause mold and possibly damage the labels. Storing the wine on its side should keep the cork from drying and maintain a tight seal to prevent air from seeping into the liquid.

Wine Service Recommendations: Decanting

We believe there are benefits to taking the extra time and effort to decant Patiné. Although each bottle is different, we recommend a minimum of one hour in a decanter. As with all wine that will offer complexities, Patiné can still be enjoyed as it opens up and changes in the glass if you are not able to decant.

Wine Service Recommendations: Serving Temperature

We recommend 63 degrees Fahrenheit as the optimal temperature for serving Patiné. If Patiné has been stored cooler than 63 degrees Fahrenheit, we recommend placing Patiné at room temperature for approximately one hour before serving. If Patiné has been stored at room temperature, we recommend chilling it approximately 20 minutes before serving.

Wine Service Recommendations: Stemware

Generally speaking, due to Pinot Noir’s characteristics of higher acidity/lower tannins, we suggest a wine glass with the rim turned out and with a wider bowl, as this will direct the intense flavors immediately to the palette.
