Amidst these trials, we discovered our inspiration and project name, “The Earnest’s Eye,” representing vision and determination within the beholder. Beyond its symbolic significance, it serves as a profound reminder of the resilience and unwavering loyalty of the beautiful souls – past and present – who have left an indelible mark on our lives.

Wine Profile:
The year 2023 proved to be excellent for producing flavorful and robust wines. Thanks to the absence of extreme heat and the avoidance of El Niño, the historic Samuel Brannan Vineyard yielded a plentiful and remarkable harvest. The extraction of color is vivid, complemented by the authentic flavors of Cabernet Sauvignon. This vintage stands out as distinctive, expressive, and bolder compared to its 2021 and 2022 predecessors, while still being stylistically rich and velvety. Anticipate this wine to provide immense enjoyment both in its youth and after aging for 10 to 20 years.
Palate Impressions:
Exquisite aromas of blackberry, cassis, and subtle vanilla flow seamlessly onto the palate. The acidity is pronounced yet harmonizes well with the overall profile. This vintage boasts remarkable structure, avoiding excessive jamminess, and reveals a delightful dusting of minerality in the mid-palate, characteristic of the Calistoga AVA, attributed to its rich volcanic soil. Anticipate a lengthy, elegant finish.
